MIFAB® HAMMERGARD® Water Hammer Arrester, Piston, Series: CL Series, 1 in Nominal, MNPT, 350 psig, 31 to 60 Fixture Unit Capacity, 250 deg F, Copper Body, 1-3/8 in Dia x 9 in L
MIFAB® CL Series (specify size) piston operated water hammer Arrester with hard drawn seamless "K" copper body, RYTON PPS piston with double O-rings (Parco No 5778-80) and CDA 360 brass MPT connection. Certified to the ASSE 1010-1996 and ANSI A112.26.1M Standards. Engineered to limit the system surge pressure up to 1500 psig.
- Thick walled one piece, hard drawn "K" copper seamless body
- Unique design eliminates separate end cap connection to ensure maximum integrity of the body and guarantees free movement of the piston for maximum performance
- Ryton PPS piston with two Parco No 5778-80 O-rings and Dow Corning No 111 FDA approved silicone lubricant
- Ribbed piston design reduces secondary shock, and flared piston skirt prevents hard particles suspended in the water supply from contacting the O-rings to provide increased product life
- Large volume air chamber provides better dampening for superior water hammer Arrester performance
- Upto 1500 psig surge pressure
- No access door is required to service MIFAB's water hammer Arresters
- 31 to 60 fixture unit capacity
- Used in commercial, institutional and residential applications on water supply lines to reduce water hammer caused by the quick opening and closing of valves within the piping system
- To be installed as close as possible to quick closing valves
- The resulting hydraulic shock waves can lead to broken pipes and affect valves in appliances if not reduced with the use of a water hammer Arrester
- An access door is not required to provide access to MIFAB's water hammer Arresters
