As a BGS Supervisor, you lead by communicating the business objectives of Bartle and Gibson to your Showroom team. The Showroom Supervisor is responsible for leading the department by providing high quality workmanship and service that ensures customer satisfaction. As the Showroom Supervisor you will report directly to the Showroom Manager and ensure that the department team consistently meets performance expectations in terms of customer experience, sales growth, retail execution, and profitability.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, maintain, and strengthen relationships with a wide range of suppliers and customers
- Encourages and maintains a culture that values excellent customer service to all customers through effective training, supervision, coaching and performance management.
- Leads by example and consistently delivers an excellent customer experience.
- Assist in resolving any customer/team member concerns or conflicts in a courteous, professional, and respectful manner
- Provide product information including availability, accurate pricing quotations and follow-up on quotes, orders and delivery information
- Authorize and ensure the validity of customer returns, exchanges, check authorizations, voids, and discretion discounts
- Hold team members accountable for providing an excellent customer experience and recognizes those who excel in it.
- Assign work to Showroom team members according to availability, skills, and developmental needs
- Assist in effective planning and scheduling to ensure department is appropriately staffed.
- Provide professional development to Showroom employees, offer timely and constructive performance feedback; provide guidance and opportunities that enhance employee career growth
- Ensure that all products are coded in inventory, bin located, with current pricing displayed
- Ensure discontinued items are transferred to clearance; prepare for annual year-end inventory count
- Understand and enforce compliance with all company policies and procedures
- Maintain confidentiality of all matters
- Other duties as required
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
- Minimum Grade 12 education required
- Candidates should possess a minimum of two years’ sales experience
- Prior Plumbing Sales and Management experience is strongly preferred
- Strong computer skills with the ability to quickly learn new systems
- Understand the basics of design and interior decorating
Final candidates will be required to undergo an assessment and security screening, including a criminal record check. Employment is subject to screening completion that is satisfactory to Bartle & Gibson.
