The position operates in a fast paced, dynamic, rewarding environment and will assume responsibility for all counter sales and product returns while providing expertise as a member of the customer service team.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Offering exceptional customer service at our counter and over the phone
  • Responding to inquiries and processing incoming calls and orders
  • Processing orders in the system
  • Sourcing materials for customers when currently not in stock
  • Consistent training and understanding of current products
  • Developing and maintaining positive customer relationships
  • Handling returns as required
  • Keeping counter and sales area clean
  • Merchandising and showcasing product
  • Other duties as required

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Ability to develop long-term relationships and generate referrals from your customers
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Impeccable organizational skills with high attention to detail

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Post-Secondary courses in Plumbing, Electrical or Heating are considered an asset
  • Knowledge of the Plumbing, Electrical and Heating industry or a background in plumbing products would be considered an asset

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

  • Minimum grade 12 education required
  • Minimum of two years sales experience (counter sales, inside sales or outside sales) required
  • Post-Secondary courses in Plumbing or Electrical an asset
  • Skilled in serving and negotiating with institutional and industrial purchasers, plumbing or electrical contractors, and the public
  • Knowledge of the plumbing and/or electrical industry or a background in plumbing and/or products required
