Reporting directly to the Branch Manager, you will prove yourself to be an excellent representative for Bartle & Gibson Showroom focusing on growing our business by working with customers who visit our showroom to find their ideal and unique product packages and solutions. 

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining the pristine of showroom products, show suites; displays are kept clean with an appealing presentation
  • Source materials for customers
  • Provide quotes for clients and quote follow ups
  • Present and detail company products and services to existing and potential clients
  • Prepare and activate paperwork to process sales
  • Prepare reports on sales activity and effectiveness of product display
  • Make sales calls and follow-up contact with previous visitors to the showroom
  • Conduct after sales service with customers
  • Research and stay up-to-date on product knowledge and industry trends
  • Work closely with others (clients, suppliers, co-workers) to ensure project needs are met
  • Professional grooming and presentation will be expected of salespeople who are representing Bartle & Gibson
  • Other duties as required

We now have an exciting opportunity for an eager and talented individual to join our team in our Plumbing Department as a Customer Service Representative. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing customer service support to the organization by obtaining, analyzing and verifying the accuracy of order information in a timely manner, initiating and implementing corrective action as needed in order to ensure that an excellent standard of service and high level of customer satisfaction are maintained.

Your main duties will include, but won’t be limited to:

  • Receives processes and verifies the accuracy of orders from customers
  • Initiates required action for response to customer service requests for order changes, including the maintenance of order/customer information files and communicates changes to the appropriate personnel or department.
  • Ensures and provides quality service to both internal and external customers.
  • Accesses the company’s internal systems to obtain and extract order information and provide customer service.
  • Participates and provides expertise as a member of the customer service’s departmental team. The team’s objectives are to develop and recommend changes to existing methods and systems to increase the accuracy, efficiency and responsiveness of the customer services department as a whole.
  • Contributes to the development and maintenance of standards, policies and procedures regarding customer service.
  • Adheres to all corporate policies, guidelines and statutory requirements and recommends to senior management adoption and/or changes to policies and guidelines to reflect circumstances within the customer service area.
  • Responsible for actively ensuring the retention of the organization’s customer base which includes promoting the organization to existing customers.
  • Works with the organization’s other branch/region offices to resolve problems., facilitate solutions and enhances customer service offerings.
  • Prepares, generates and distributes daily reports and order acknowledgements to appropriate personnel. Responsible for notifying administration of any required updates of customer records on the organization’s internal database.
  • Provides back-up support to other group members in the performance of job duties as required.
  • Supports and participates in the organization’s Continuous Improvement Program.
  • Answers customer inquiries/communications as required.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

  • Post-Secondary courses in Plumbing and/or Heating preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (Advanced), Word, Outlook, and Adobe
  • Previous experience and/or education in Project Management an asset 
  • Basic understanding reading blueprints an asset
