Appleton® UNY, UNF, and UNL explosionproof and dust-ignitionproof unions are used for joining conduit and connecting conduit to enclosures. They facilitate modifications and permit the removal of enclosures without turning or removing conduit. They are also available as expansion unions, which compensate for the expansion and contraction of conduit.
- Smooth, rounded integral bushing in each hub to protect conductor insulation
- Accurately tapped, tapered NPT threads for tight, rigid joints and ground continuity
- Concentric ring interlocked design sizes makes possible smaller diameter, allowing use in tighter spaces
