The 3M™ Aqua-Pure™ Whole House Scale Inhibition Water Treatment System AP430SS installs on your home’s cold water line and is ideal for any size home with hard water issues. It is designed to reduce scale buildup and corrosion to help extend the life of hot water-using appliances such as water heaters, boilers, washing machines, dishwashers and plumbing fixtures (faucets, pipes and showerheads).
- Helps inhibit scale buildup and corrosion, Polyphosphates in this product help inhibit scale, hard mineral buildup and corrosion in standard water heaters, pipes, hot water-using appliances and plumbing fixtures to help maintain efficiency and extend their service life
- Not a filter, a scale reduction system, System diverts a small portion of water into the cartridge and injects minute concentrations of polyphosphates into the water before returning it to the water supply, helping to reduce scale buildup and corrosion by inhibiting hardness minerals on metallic surfaces and forming a thin, protective layer inside pipes
