Lithonia Lighting’s 4" Incandescent Remodel Housing is intended for use with recessed incandescent housings for 2x8 and 2x6 remodel applications. The housing is approved for direct burial in insulation and all ceiling and wiring types. Construction is air-tight, galvanized steel pan with aluminum can and junction box with four built-in ROMEX clamps and ground wire.
- Airtight, aluminum housing with heavy gauge galvanized steel raceway arm utilizing remodel clips for installation in plaster, sheetrock or mechanical ceilings
- Galvanized bar hangers span up to 24 in o.c. and feature stepped shank nail and positioning guide with integral T-bar locks
- Two locking screws hold fixture in position
- Galvanized steel junction box (4) built-in Romex® clamps
- (4) 1/2 in and (2) 3/4 in knockouts with slots for pryout, rated for through branch wiring
- Removable J-box door for easy access
- Durable medium base porcelain socket with nickel plated copper alloy screw shell and contact
- Socket clips to top of housing to prevent paint overspray in socket screw shell
- Socket attaches to reflector to ensure proper and consistent lamp position
- Thermal protection provided against improper lamp usage
- Airtight housing suitable for airtight installations
- Retaining clips are riveted to top of reflector to hold trim inside housing
- Expandable bar hangers allow for off-center mounting in wood joist or T-bar ceilings
- Vertical adjustment of housing allows for flush mounting with ceiling face
- Rated for 90 deg C
- Two side mounted torsion springs on the trim and 2 receiving brackets in the can ensure a consistently tight fit with the ceiling
- Suitable for ceilings up to 1-1/2 in thick
